| Big Hill Expands Again Date: 07-20-2005 By: Jeff Owens Email: jowens@bighill.com Big Hill GMAC Inks Merger Deal with
Royal Crest Realty in Enon
Big Hill GMAC Real Estate and First Realty Group GMAC, its Eaton (OH) and Richmond (IN) affiliate, have merged Enon-based Royal Crest Realty Inc. into their operations. The merger, effective July 18, which officially changes Royal Crest's name to Big Hill GMAC, attests to Big Hill's strategy to expand in all directions throughout the Miami Valley and beyond. In recent years, six other mergers have grown the company from 5 offices to now 12, including Greenville to the north, Richmond (IN) to the west, Middletown to the south and Wilmington to the southeast. "We see this merger as opening a gateway into Clark County and Springfield," said Jeff Owens, President of Big Hill GMAC/First Realty Group. "We're convinced the merger will create an exciting new force in the Clark County/Enon area. With all the tools and marketing advantages we bring to our agents, buyers and sellers, our market leadership is assured," Owens added. By the end of 2005, Big Hill GMAC's Enon office is expected to be the largest in the community.
Founded by Jim and Dee Harrison in September, 1992, Royal Crest Realty has been representing buyers and sellers primarily in the northeast region of greater Dayton, including Enon, Fairborn, Springfield, Yellow Springs, New Carlisle and Medway. Since Jim's retirement in 2000, Dee, a licensed Realtor since 1979, has served as owner and principal broker. She has been the top producer in the Enon area for many years, and Royal Crest is recognized as that area's oldest real estate firm. The Harrisons attribute their success to a sincere commitment to each client's best interests. That commitment and Dee's desire to concentrate on residential sales rather than continue in management are what led her to the merger dialogue with Big Hill.
"We are very excited about teaming up with Big Hill GMAC. We've been approached by a number of companies over the years, but have never found the right fit until now," stated Dee Harrison. "We are extremely impressed with Big Hill's commitment to agent training and technology, both of which are very important considering the trust our clients place in us." Jeff Owens reinforced Dee's sentiments when he said, "Both companies have a client-first culture and reputations for high-quality service, honesty and fairness, making Royal Crest a perfect match to the Big Hill GMAC Premier Service culture."
The former Royal Crest Realty office at 7153 Dayton Road in Enon now serves as the base of operations for Big Hill GMAC's expanding presence in that region. It soon will be technologically updated and equipped with Big Hill's high speed wireless systems, Intranet network and web-based system which shows homes online to hundreds of buyers each month. Three former Royal Crest agents have now joined Big Hill GMAC Real Estate's network of over 240 agents in 12 offices located throughout west-central Ohio and eastern Indiana. They now have access to all of the resources that the GMAC global affiliation offers, such as Big Hill GMAC's sophisticated internet technology enabling buyers and sellers to view all homes for sale via the Internet, not only in the immediate area, but also in over 80 other markets across the country. Important too, is Big Hill's one-stop-shopping concept that provides mortgage, title and warranty services all under one roof. Pat Clendenin, a sales agent in Big Hill's Fairborn office, was named office manager at the Enon location. Plans for the office include an expansion and reconfiguration to make room for 12 more agents.
Big Hill GMAC Real Estate and its First Realty Group GMAC affiliate together form one of the largest real estate organizations in west-central Ohio and eastern Indiana based on number of closings. The company is part of a nationwide GMAC Real Estate network of 1,400 offices and 24,000 licensed agents offering the strength, stability and world-wide influence of General Motors; special programs for GM employees, families and affiliates; global relocation services; and high-speed access to the most advanced technology in real estate.
